I began z becky brown by looking for a handbag  I could not find …what transpired next truly only happens in America …I made it myself.  Just like thousands of other small entrepreneurs who live and work and thrive in freedom. We have the freedom to succeed or fail and there are many failures along the way which only strengthen you.

As I traveled down this road, I ventured into a whole new world of product development, massive steel tools, injection molding, patents, suppliers, details and more details in order to design a handbag that can be changed on a whim. Two years later z becky brown took center stage, committed to producing the ultimate fashion accessory with infinite design possibilities.

Now be careful there is a fork in the highway ahead.  What will you buy?  Made in USA?  There is a multiplying affect to your decision.

When you purchase a z becky brown handbag you are supporting American jobs at the twelve USA companies we depend on to supply us with specific parts to produce our handbags and inserts.  When a product is manufactured in the USA, the economic growth for other companies is multiplied by using USA suppliers of parts, assembly, boxes, printing, and so much more. I love creating new looks for  my z becky brown handbag, and I love to make my inserts a little different and special. Using the blank template I can make as many designs as I want.

A trip to my neighbor’s garden gave me the idea for this purse.  She was cutting enormous leaves and gave me an armful.  Some went into a vase, but I took others straight to the copy center while the color was still bright and distinct, cut off the stems, and arranged them overlapping, face down to make 11 x 17 copies.  I cut the copies using the z becky brown purse insert templates for measurements and backed them with cardboard for added stability.  Then I outlined a few of the leaves with tiny crystal AB (2mm) gems, accenting others with clusters of gems.

A heat-activated gem applicator tool makes applying itty bitty gems quite easy.  Alternatively, use the point of a pin to apply gem glue; it only takes a tiny dab.  If you’re not one for glitz, omit the gems.

Options:
Instead of using a photocopy, use a computer scanner or a camera.
Instead of leaves, choose close-ups of flowers, a cactus, blades of grass, or whatever you want.

Hint for working at a copy center:
Take glass cleaner and paper towels with you so you can clean the glass on the color copier before you start, then clean the glass afterward so the leaves don’t leave any marks that might damage the next person’s copies.

I don’t know why but I always find the resolution means a promise to myself that I almost always break, but a goal is something I strive for and often have a good chance of achieving.
